For visits 1 Week From Today - Calling Patients with Outstanding Balances
Use this tutorial when calling patients with outstanding balances - 1 week in advance.
Step 1
Make sure you have the paper report:
"Outstanding Balances - 1 Week Out
Note: This report is to be filled out, and put in Dr's End of Day folder.
Step 2
Pull up all relevant information to the patient in Epic
Step 3
Fill out
"Called By" (your name)
"Call Time" (ex. 8:15AM)
Step 4
Call patients with the most outstanding balance first, moving down the list.
Step 5
Check one "Response type." per call.
Step 6
Document the phone call in Epic (Even if no answer, and no message left)
Note: This step is important for billing.
Step 7
Repeat steps 4-6 throughout the day until list is complete.
Step 8
Make sure completed form gets in end of day folder for Dr.
